The two itty-bitty scientists stood on the concrete pathway in a shady, yet sunny abandoned street.
Jeremey was getting ready to go into the ginormous glass container filled to the brim with sweet and delicious lollies. Kiku was just bursting to see what was going to happen to the container when the shock-breaker-60000 blasted.
After Jeremy was in the container, Kiku started to count down, “3…. 2…. 1….” She started to power up the shock-breaker-60000, as it slowly heated up, the glass started to shake. Some lollies tipped over the sides. As soon as it was at full power, Kiku pushed the button and BOOM! The glass and machine broke into halves…
My Father said that what lies ahead of the horizon is a magical land full of unicorns and rainbows.
I told my friend about this, she laughed and said that he was joking.
“Really?” I asked.
“Yeah!” She laughed. “The only thing that is past the horizon is more land and water!”
“Oh…” I was really disappointed.
After that day, I soon learnt that my friend was right.
But I still try to find that land, even if it doesn’t exist.
I Don’t care what my friends say, I Still want to try! Even if it ends in disappointment.
So, what lies ahead of the horizon is something that is mythical.
It was raining today, quite heavily I might add. I checked the weather on the news website, it said that it would be a storm, a great big one. The biggest one in the last 500 years!
I was quite shocked, I hated storms; with a passion. My earliest memory of experiencing a storm when I was 3, 12 years ago. It all started when I was with my Dad, lying on the couch with the TV on, the rain pitter pattering on the windows in the background. I liked it, just some normal rain. Until I heard a low, rumble in the distance. My father said it was a storm.
Then suddenly, it went… dark…
I was wandering in the woods with my friends, Anna and Jenna. We were all having a laugh and a great time! Until ‘it’ happened.
We were in the middle of walking on the log until I heard some sort of growl, coming from the part of the woods that were surrounding us. I got really paranoid. Until I realised, big animals don’t live in the forest!
“Hey, did anyone here that?” Jenna asked.
“Here what?” Anna replied.
“That growl.” Jenna said, “It sounded like a bear.”
“Nope!” Anna said.
“I heard it.” I managed to say in a quiet voice.
Suddenly it came rushing towards us.
As it was rushing towards us, we ran.
Deep into the woods.
I was walking along the beach when I saw a seal lying on the ground, It looked happy, I jogged over to it and It went back into the beach.
I was puzzled, but I shrugged it off and jogged back to my trail of foot prints. I suddenly heard a loud ‘SPLASH’ and the seal was back where it was before. I decided to run over to the seal this time, so i could catch it. But nope! As soon as I was about a meter away, it dove back into the water. I groaned, just a little and then went back to my spot.
I heard another ‘SPLASH.’ I didn’t bother going over there. I looked and the seal was laughing!
I awoke to my cat jumping onto my bed.
“Scarlet!!” I cried. I tried to get her off of my bed. Sometimes Scarlet can be sooo annoying.
After I got Scarlet off of my bed, I laid back down to my cushion and I fell into a deep sleep…
“JAMIE!!” I heard my mum scream at the top of her lungs. “HURRY!! YOU HAVE A VIOLIN EXAM TODAY!!” As soon as I heard ‘violin exam’ I jumped out of bed and quickly got changed. I went down stairs and got some water to water my plant. after my plant was watered, I rushed out the door.
I was jogging home from school when I felt a little wet droplet on my nose. I wiped it off and thought it’s only spitting…
Suddenly, I felt multiple drops of water on my face. I started to run, just a little bit faster.
The rain got heavier, I started to sprint, holding my books close to my chest, really tight.
I looked up in the sky, dark, grey clouds covered the blue sky. Then suddenly, I saw some lighting. Being smart, I hid under the shelter of a bus stop close by.
Then the flash of thunder made me jump, I called my Mum to pick me up.
I was quietly sitting on my bed, trying to think of a way to get food without mum noticed when all of a sudden… BANG!! A huge noise came from outside. I ran towards my window and looked up, a huge hole was ripping the sky apart! I sprinted as fast as I could to the front yard.
“Lacey! Get in here!!” I heard my mum yell. The wind blew my silky, brown hair everywhere.
I saws the hole in the sky rip everything off the ground that surrounded me. I then followed my mum’s orders and ran inside.
I woke up.
this video is about this boy explaining what it’s like to have colour blindness.
the mantis shrimp has 12 cones!
the mantis shrimp can see ultra violet light.
1 in 200 girls have colour blindness.
why do they have tests to see if you are colour blind?
how is it rare to only see in black and white?
colour blindness doesn’t affect people as much as we thought it did.
round n’ round it goes
when will it stop
round n’ round it will go
sooner or later it’ll crash
sooner or later it’ll be free
hop hop the horses go
free in the park
around the trees, over the people
free in the streets
around the block, over the houses
round n’ round the world
round n’ round, when will it stop
when will they be free
they’ve been stuck there for so long
they are finally free
round n’ round they go
round n’ round you see
they are now gone
into the sunset
back into your head
